Hey thanks for your comment ed34.
My physician told me that I might need to change my lifestyle a bit to avoid or minimize that slight chest pain I was suffering from. So as per his advice I have done some changes, and they are actually making some sense.
Previously I used to work 12 hours, now I have reduced that time to 9.
I have increased the amount of sleep I take daily from 6 Hrs to 8 Hrs.
I have started drinking milk every night before going to bed.
I have started taking an half an hour walk, either in morning or evening.
I have reduced the amount of smoking from 15 cigarettes per day to 10 cigarettes per day.
I am not quite sure what out of these have made me feel good. But these days, I am not at all feeling that slight pain near my chest. I feel it sometimes but it is negligible.
As I am not sure what have worked for me, I can't advice anything here. But seems like RBBB isn't a big threat as of now. But the most important thing is that you should take some good rest and do some exercise daily to be in good shape. As of now, I am following that and I wish it would continue the same way.
Thanks to all those who advised on this thread by taking out there valuable time.
Thanks a lot...!!!
There is no need to treat it, if there are no problems being caused. Most people with this never require treatment. You have probably had this all of/ or most of your life and unless you had a ecg you would never know.
Thanks to you both guys.
What I have understood till now is that RBBB in my ECG report doesn't seem to be that much harmful. But still I need to consult some good cardiologist to check what I can do in future related to this.
One small thing, is this thing curable? Or it just remains in there for lifelong?
Thanks for your guidance!
To put this very simply, the electrical impulse which normal contracts the large chambers of the heart (ventricle) will travel through two pathways of special cells. One goes to the left chamber, and one to the right. Your pathway of cells for the impulse is blocked to the right chamber. So, how is your right chamber contracting?
The electrical impulse is going into the cells all over your left chamber, telling the muscle to contract, and the impulse is crossing over, through all the tissue into the right chamber, telling that to contract too.
This means that the right chamber is contracting slightly later than the left, but in most cases this delay causes no problems. In fact, most people with RBBB have no problems at all and have been living with the problem for many years without knowledge of it. So, unless Cardiologists say there is a real concern, then you have no worries.
I doubt if your RBBB is a recent development.
I have complete RBBB block and anterior half block LBBB. No cardiologist has given much attention to this. Some say the heart has alternate routes to pass the electric message.
Ihave had heart problems since but they appear to have no connection with these blockages.
