Persistent Angina

I have been treated for angina for the last 8 years. I have had 2 heart attacks, a quad bypass and now have 10 stents (the last 3 in December 2010).
My consultant is having difficulty to come to terms with my symtoms as no reason is evident from an MRI, echo, angiogram etc. and the last blockage found in the LAD was 72mm long and upto 95% blocked but was only found with a pressure wire test.
Does anyone else have these problems and how are your doctors treating you.
All the best
Doug

I take Isosorbide as well a number of others as well. Never heard of vasospasms but will look it up. I will try the search on the other suggestions.

Thanks for the comment, you take care also.

I do, but in my case it's vasospasms.  Or coronary artery spasms.  I carry the Nitro with me at all times.  Takes the pain away everytime.  I take a calcium channel blocker and magnesium supplement to help with the spasms.  I also take Isosorbide daily.  You may get more information by doing a search on small vessel disease, microvascular disease or Cardiac Syndrome X.  I also have Raynaud's Syndrome and tend to think the 2 are connected in some way.  Take care, Ally
