Broken trust in doctors, how to handle?

So I had an issue with a new ICD giving me small shocks in the middle of the night.  I ask the doctor and they downloaded the info from the ICD, reviewed it, and told me everything is fine, device is working correctly, it did not trigger.  Happened again and again I notified the doctor, same answer.  I contacted Medtronic and was told it was not an uncommon concern, could be the overnight recalibration.  It does this at 1am EST and if it can't complete at that time it waits 1/2 hour and tries again.  I told the doctor what Medtronic told me, they in turn contacted Medtronic and called me back saying its a common occurrence, and alot of patients have the feature turned off.  So, now, how can I trust my doctor to assist me in making medical decisions?  Either they didn't know about this feature or they chose not to provide me with an accurate straightforward answer.  Not sure which concerns me more or how to now deal with these doctors.  Thoughts?  Ideas?  Suggestions?

Really? Your doctor may not have known, maybe it was the Medtronics people that neglected to tell him. Maybe it's a different model or a change made by the manufacturer that was not communicated. Doctors are not gods, they are not all knowing and they have incredible amounts of new data to keep up on every day. It seems to me you should cut them some slack, especially if he has been good to you in the past. It also seems to me that he did as he should have by following up with your complaint quickly to get the proper information from the company that made the unit.

I think you're jumping the gun but you can try to find perfection in another doctor. And no, I am NOT a doctor.
