Wow.
How long has this been going on?
I can tell you that diagnostic laparoscopy can leave you feeling as if you have chest pain or pressure, which can refer to the shoulder. If that passed rather quickly, I'd suspect that was probably what caused that discomfort, or at least some of it.
Your tongue does sound like an allergic reaction, and a pretty severe one. Do they know what did it? If not, see an allergist.
Your resting heart rate is high. Follow-up with a cardiologist. It seems you have a major lack of answers here.
I had some mild pains from the gas, but I have had 4 other laporoscopies before so I knew what to look for. This is different. It is uncomfortable to take a deep breath. My left arm tingles a lot and goes numb at times. A couple of weeks ago my left hand turned blue along with my fingers, and it was really cold. Now when I stand up or sometimes just when walking I get dizzy and things go black. And the last time I went to the ER the Doctor was rude and said it was all in my head. Did no testing or X-rays. My mother had her first heart attack at 25 and had a MVP she has passed. My Grandfather had Bypass surgery at 48 he is now dead also. They both died of Cancer though. My Grandmother is still alive but has had 4 strokes and has a MVP also, along with all 5 of her sisters. When they found my ASD the other day it scared me, but I forgot to tell the Cardologist about the fever and other symptoms. I was on the treadmill for less then 5 mins and my heart rate hit 178 and I almost passed out. I weight 120 and I am 33, so I am not over weight. Could having this surgery with out them knowing about my ASD and then getting an infection be causing all of my problems? I was full of energy and waitressed before this, my only other problem was Migrains for 13 years. Now all I do is sit or sleep. I don't have any other stress, so what do I do? Go back to the ER? my Cardologist is on vacation (spring break) for 2 weeks.
you almost passed out with a heart rate of 178 during exersice?? is that normal for you?? That high of a heartrate should be pretty tolerable....
Hi,
My heart rate got up to that during my stress test too, it's actually pretty normal if you are going all out. It doesn't seem high enough to cause fainting. I did faint in the summer, which led to my ASD diagnosis, I am symptomatic with mine. My heart rate apon "revival" was well over 200.(possibly afib) I also have an ASD, and it is not considered a high risk defect for endocharditis, but anything is possible. I would definately get checked if it is bothering you.
Hope you get some answers soon!
All the best
Michelle
