I had the same results from my recent ekg. What ever became of yours? I am filled with anxiety over this.
The Dig effect does not mean that you have a problem!! It means that you are on the drug Digoxin (Lanoxin, Digitek, Digitalis) and it changes the EKG in a very slight way. It is a NORMAL finding in someone on that drug.
Pulmonary hypertension is *suspected* based on an echo reporting pulmonary pressure higher than 35 or so. The only DEFINITIVE way to diagnose it is by right heart cath. Echos can be way, way off. It is essentially high blood pressure in the lungs. It is not related to blood pressure in the rest of the body. It can cause shortness of breath, esp with exertion, lower oxygen levels, chest pain in some people, fainting in very severe cases, right heart enlargement.
Is pulmonary hypertension related to the blood pressure or it causes blood pressure raise or low? It affected which part of the heart enlarge? I have that kind of symptoms, I try to diagnosis it by myself!

In addition to my previous comment - also do you know anything about pulmonary hypertension? Thanks!
Hi Harttohart. I'm having laparascopic adjustible gastric banding done for weight loss. No, the doctor didn't go over it - just said everything looked fine and surgery was a go. The ECG report indicated that there had been no change since 9/2005 so maybe it's not something that is progressing. I really don't know.
