SVT ATTACKS FOLLOWEED BY TOTAL LOSS OF FEELIING IN WHOLE LEFT SIDE OF BODY

my friend has recently been suffering palp attacks at first the doctor diagnosed epilepsy because she would have a fit with them, but neurology said she was fine it was a heart condition. on the way to her first appointment to see cardiologist last week she felt the sudden heart rate and fitted, when she woke up she felt paralysed completely on the whole of her left side of her body. the doctors have said it's caused by a chemical imbalance, she is still in hospital and waiting for more tests but they have said they can't do any heart tests untill the feelings return in her body so she is on ward arrest as the palps still happen and now she can't walk.   what could be wrong i'm guessing it's more severe than svt which is what i have. my second question is can this happen to anyone that suffers palps. she is normally a very healthy 22 yr old woman, who had no idea she even had a heart condition!!!!! please please help...
