Eye sight after aortic valve replacement

Hi
My mum had severe aortic stenosis so four weeks ago she had her aortic valve replaced with a tissue one.
She is recovering well but finds that her mind is a bit fuzzy and her eye sight is not as good as it was before the op. It sometimes takes longer to focus especially when she looks from one angle to another.
Can anyone tell me whether this is a normal sympton after having a deep anaesthetic or should we consult her Doctor for advice?

Hope someone can advise

Lucy

Because general anesthetics affect the central nervous system, patients may feel drowsy, weak, or tired for as long as a few days after having general anesthesia. Fuzzy thinking, blurred vision, and coordination problems are also possible.

Most side effects usually disappear as the anesthetic wears off. A nurse or doctor should be notified if these or other side effects persist or cause problems.  Hope this helps.
