carotid artery

I had 5 bypass surgery 15 years ago. My cardiologist hsd s dopler scan done recently of my carotid artery, the results were  60-79% blockage on the left, and 30-40% on the right. What is the problem with the left being blocked as is? Is there anything to know?

Thanks, Louis

Just keep monitoring for now.  Depending on your other factors you may want to consider twice annually, but normally a carotid ultrasound once a year is all that's necessary. At these levels of blockage that should be all that needs to be done at this time.

Please keep in mind I am speaking ffrom my own recent experience and I am not a physician.
