VSD

Hello all,

My son has been detected with  subaortic ventricular septal defect left to right shunt.
Size is 10mm x 7mm
Age is 1 month

My cardiologist suggested that he need to undergo surgery after 3 months.

My question.

Is the hole curable by medicine?

ok, but make sure it is a good heart hospital. You want a surgeon with a lot of experience in this.

No due to it is VSD they have to go for open Heart.

angioplasty is possible if it is ASD(Arties Septal defect)

Unfortunately it is not. I would ask if they can close the shunt using angioplasty rather than open heart surgery though.
