Need help ASAP

ok well  im 19 and today was my first day working out in a while because i got my appendix taken out  3 weeks ago. So i drank my pre workout that I usually drink and like an hour later my heart rate was so high and i could feel my heart beating on my chest, I had shortness of breath and felt kinda dizzy, so sat down for about 10-15 minutes and it still was high it didnt change a thing, until l layed down for like  20 minutes, it calmed down. What exactly should I do? Should i go to the doctor or was this a one time thing ?
Thanks

Hi there,

I agree with the Doc that you should start exercising gradually.  Even though the appendix incision is just a few small cuts, it is still a shock to your body and 3 weeks is still early days.

Make sure that you take a multi vitamin and even a meal replacement shake (I am a big supporter of Herbalife) and add a Banana a day to your diet, to increase your potassium level.

If the palpitations persists for no reason, then you should definitely see your doctor.

All the best and let us know how you are doing!

Hello and hope you are doing well.

It could just be your body recuperating after the surgery. And also, you might not have been exercising for sometime. So, just build up your exercise protocol gradually, limiting yourself to what is comfortable for you. And ensure to take a well balanced diet. However, if your symptoms still persist consult your doctor for an evaluation.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
