Exercise induced pericarditis?

Hello,
Would anyone know if pericarditis can be induced by exercise? I am a 53 year old male with a history of palpitations and shortness of breath, of unknown cause. Recently, I did some extra strength training, and felt very tired the same evening. The next day I started experiencing a slight piercing pain in my chest. Could this be pericarditis induced by exercise?
Thanks

I never heard of pericarditis induced by exercise, although it can be induced by trauma. I suppose your exercise is not comparable to that?

The most probable explanation is a strained chest muscle or costochronditis.
Both give sharp stabbing pain and can be a result from vigorous exercising.
They do however not explain your tiredness.

To be sure, go and see your doctor.
