it depends on what is causing it to go low; is yours due to the ANS (autonomic nervous system); electrolyte imbalances, heart problems or meds? there's quite a few reasons why and most involve increasing sodium intake, but also increasing water intake if your dr says is a good way; some of us with low bp even use compression hose to stop blood pooling and Vasodilation which can lead to a decrease in blood pressure

To interfere with heart's mechanism to maintain a balance of blood flow betwen andt right and left side of the heart requires a doctor to evaluate and treat. If that is a hypothetical question, increase the sodium intake.
