irregular heart beat in a toddler

at a routine visit my sons pediatrician noticed the irregular beating, like there was no rythem, just beating all over the place??? when he lays down I can feel it on ny hand, pumping, is that normal? The Doctor didn't make a big deal about it, but I am very concerned,  has thid happened to anyone else? what causes it or fixex it.....what am i supposed to do in the mean time?

I would get another opinion, and by a cardiologist.  You might call your closest children's hospital to find a pediatric physician.  I would certainly look for a specialist.  While it might be nothing to worry about, you need to know what is causing it.

Be pro-active.  Insist on answers.

If your son truely has an irregular heart beat and not the normal sinus arrhythmia, he should be seen by a pediatric cardiologist to find out the reason for the irregular heart beat.
