can it be removed

It was put in due to atrial filibration. My heart lower bp number was going down to 30 if I exerted at all. The holter was sending alerts to the  hospital.Im sorry, not trying to be a baby here, I find it uncomfortable,  I am so thin that it sticks out like a sore thumb. I felt better be4 I had it. Doctor says just wait it will get better. Has been 3 weeks and I see no difference.I want to go back to the way I was and all I get is laughter when I ask to take it out.

You haven't given us much information about your condition.  Why was it inserted?  I agree with caregiver.  I think the leads would be forever imbedded in your heart.  
I have one, and it changed my life. What is causing your problems with it?  Keep us informed.

Yes, with qualifications and caveats. Temporary pacemakers are often used in hospitals. Removal is not always legally possible. For example, if the atrial pacemaker is not functioning, removal of the implant could result in death. Discuss this openly with your physician. The case for implanting a pacemaker is sometimes absolutely clear-cut and in other cases more of a precautionary procedure.

can a pacemaker be removed? I dont feel any different than be4 it was put in , and am aggrevated by  the thing. Id love to have it out.
