last november i had 2 stents placed in my heart, one in the front was for blockage and in one in the back of the heart because the artiray was 80 percent callapsed. The doc seemed to think the surgery was a sucess, so the day after surgery the sent me home. They gave me instructions on how to change my life style, hnd full of prescription and appointment for follow p in 6 wks. Will anyway the 2nd day out of hospital I had pain in the middle of my back just like before the surgery. I was confused, so i filled my nicro tabs that day, i eplained to the pharmist i was having pain, the instucted me to take one tablet wait 5 min if i was still having pain take a second if this didnt in 5 min take 3rd and go to hospital.. the first day i had to take nicro never more than one the pain would stop within few seconds, b y the wk i was having pain everyday , so i would take a nicro. when this contiued t0 happen I caled the doctor he eplained if i didnt have to take more than 3 tabs within 15 minutes iwould be fine. than i noticed that i was always freezing and my hands and feet started turning a purple this was very stange, because i was hot natured person. by the third week i was having this pain but the were harder but didnt last more than few seconds, after i took nicro. only thing is this was happening alest 2 or 3 times aday. whenn i asked the cardiollogist if this was normal at my 6 wk check up same if it didnt last more than 15min i didt have to take 3 tabs in 15 min not worry. anyway the pain was worse than before the surgery.be febuary the 8th i had taken over 60 nicro, i thought this couldnt be normal, so i asked my primary doctor put me back in the hospital. the next day, they put another stent in the same location in back of the heart, because the artiery was collapsing behind the stent they put in first time. another doctor did this surgery i have been pain free for 4 months no nicro, so if you feel like something is not right keep telling them the docs until they make sure everything is right
Food is interesting isnt it. In the last five years I've read so many reports claiming that we need to change our diets in many different ways. Over that 5 years, I found no change in diet had any effect whatsoever in my disease progression. I then read an article which hit home, it said how artery inflammation and damage is the real problem and no matter how much cholesterol you have, it will become an issue because of the immune system. This has been known for years. In the end I found the only common thing between myself and other patients I'd come to know was stress. Years and years of high stress and high blood pressure was my cause. I had no way to remove those causes, so I learned relaxation with a therapist, and boy did it make a difference. I felt like a teenager again. For the last year I have been going through very high stress but with the relaxation, this is the first time I haven't required stents.
It's interesting also how many people mention dairy products, and yet the famous french paradox has caused some interesting findings. The French were consuming far more red meat than the brits, drinking far more alcohol, smoking much more and having less exercise, yet they seem to get away with heart disease much more. They tested grapes used in their wine, they tested their genes, nothing could be found. Then they discovered something interesting with their diet. They use lots of dairy products, especially cheese and that's the key. In an experiment, they created 2 groups of 100 people and gave them the very same diet for a week. The exception was that one group had cheese added to each meal, french style. They tested the stools from everyone each day, and the blood cholesterol. To their surprise, it was found that dairy fat is chemically different and turns other fats into a substance pretty much like soap, something which cannot be absorbed. The group eating cheese found blood cholesterol dropping dramatically, while fat content in their stools increased. It simply passed through the body because it couldn't be absorbed. Over the years I have become very cautious about claims with food. When it was announced how important Omega-3 oils are, people were scared and dashed out to buy tons of omega-3 capsules, making some companies very rich. Strange how heart disease is still increasing. Smoking has decreased a huge amount in the UK, heart disease is still on the increase. Then companies said oh it isn't just omega-3, it's omega-6 too, get our combo pills. They became richer, we became sicker.
I bet with this recession there will be a rise in casualties, because I'm a firm believer that a happy non stressful society is the only answer.
thank you both for the comments, feeling everything is wierd now, i will talk to the doctor today, your right probably nothing and i had just ate and had something stressful happen, which i am trying so hard not have happen. its almost stressful changing everything i do now, just eating and going to the store and looking to see how much fat and sodium is in things and making sure i keep within the daily caloris.
It's common for heart attack victims to feel every 'glitch' going on in the chest, like you become sensitised to it. Many people have PVC's and ignore them or don't even feel them. I still feel everything going on after 5 years but in a way it's reassuring that the old ticker is still doing something. Caffeine, smoking and even alcohol can encourage PVC's, oh and stress. Whenever I feel mine, it's usually after eating a meal and I even sometimes belch after it happens. Maybe trapped wind presses on the vagus nerve or something.
Probably just common PVC's, they tend to increase after a heart attack. I doubt if it's anything to worry about, but you should mention it to your cardiologist, give them a call.
