IRRB\RBB

I was told I have A incomplete right bundle branch block over a year ago. This worries me because Im a hockey player, and I don`t know anything about this. I have a few questions about this ..

Is this IRRB dangerious?
Is it not a good thing to do alot of exercise?
Is IRRB link to death or sudden death?
Could this progress into a serious condition?

The year 1973 is correct.  That time I was 15 years old.  Now I'm 49.  Keep an eye, if you pulse goes irregular or too slow that you need a medical attention.  If your LBB is impaired then you'll in complete heart block like me!

Take care.

RBBB since 1973? . . Seeing I only had it for about a year or so, that kinda makes me feel a little better :)

Yes, the hospital dx card in 1973 (I still kept it).  It mentioned that I had RBBB and PAT.  From that time it was the "patent" of my life!

Sounds like pacemaker is not a good ideal for RBBB!  I was a guiena pig which now my heart is dependant on pacemaker.  It damaged my heart......  I wish I could have an internet or forum like this back to 1982!

I was a basketball player at the high school.  Dr said I can play whatever sports that I want to.  But I need to take medicine...

Did your doctor clear you to exercise? If so, there's no better opinion.

IRRB\RBB is a mistype, I actually meant IRBBB\RBBB. IRBBB means incomplete right bundle branch block, which I was told I have.
I don`t know how different it is from a right bundle branch block.

Anyways im just worried because I exercise alot, and lately im kinda scared because I dont know if IRBBB is a dangerous condition especially being a hockey player like myself.
So I just came on to this site to learn about this condition and find out if it is dangerous or if it is nothing to worry about and I should just enjoy my exercising and my life

I've RBBB since I was 15 years old.  I don't know is IRRB/RBB or not because they never mentioned the word "incomplete".  Could you explain it what is the different with RBBB and IRRB/RBB?

They put a pacemaker in and pacing my right ventricle when I was 24 yrs old.  Since then, I developed LBBB.  The Dr in Medhelp explained to me that if pacing the right ventricle will cause LBBB.  If my pacemaker fail (It failed once in 1994), I had RBBB and LBBB.

I also have been told I have an incomplete right bundle branch block. I first found out when I was having my galbladder out last May, I had to provide my medical records including a recent EKG to the surgeon. In reveiwing my file, I noticed that my family doctor had noted the IRBB on my file when he saw it during my first visit to his office 5 years ago! I also found it on my cardiologist's cardiac work up reports which were done last March, neither doctor even told me. An IRBB is an interruption of the electrical signal that runs through your right bundle branch of nerves on your heart to fire your chambers in sequnce properly, it's more complicated than that but that's the general idea.

I asked them both what it was and why I was not told and both told me that it is a failry common finding and considered a normal variant and it tends to worry patients unnecessarily. There is almost never any serious health issues associated with an IRBB in the presence of a normal heart structure  (as shown by an echo) and no symptoms. Both doctors also told me they would normally bring it up only if it is was change on your EKG from and earlier EKG.

There are usually more issues associated with a left bundle branch block. An LBBB can be assocated with heart disease and is considered much more dangerous.

Good Luck, I hope this helps.
