i had triple bypass 7 weeks ago am still experiencing pain and discomfort how long will this go on

...after a triple and I feel fine except for the mammary discomfort where they harvested the artery...apparently, form talking to other bypass recipients, it can take a year to feel "normal" again...each person will be different....good luck

for the first 3 weeks i had to sleep in a recliner because it hurt way to bad to sllep on my back in bed but after my breast bone started to heel in the 4th week i am able to sleep on my back with 2 pillows under my head and one under my knee caps and i have one across my chest so i can wrap my hands around it and interlock my fingers kinda like huging myself seems to work for me

my pain is probably a result of the same trauma my back aches too hard to find comfortable sleeping position

i had triple bypass 4 weeks ago and am feeling rather well were are you having pain at the only place i have any at all is were they split my ribs but ive been told it will take 3 to 4 months to heel all the way and dont push yourself if you are you should just relax
