what do these terms mean

I am 21 years old and had a stress test. The findings were:  On the stress images there is a small area of slight decreased perfusion seen in the anterior wall of the myocardium on the stress portion of the study. There is overall diffuse global hypokinesis present. The left ventricular ejection fraction calculated is approximately 49%.  Left ventricle also appears dilated for patients age.

The IMPRESSION is:  There is a small area of slight decreased perfusion present in the anterior wall of the myocardium on the stress portion of the exam.  There is no evidence of focal dyskinesia. There is however evidence of overall global hypokinesis.  The left ventricular ejection fraction is approximately 49%.

Can you please tell me what this study says?  I do not understand this.
Thank you.

Hypokinesis means decreased heart wall movement, and that would account for 49% LVEF.  Normal LVEF is 55 to 75%, and that is the amount of blood/oxygen pumped into circulation with each heartbeat..  Impaired wall movement can be due to heart muscle cell damage, ischemia (lack of blood flow) to the location noted.

Dilated LV is consistent with hypokenesis as the heart dilates to increase the blood supply to meet blood/oxygen deficit from weaker than normal pumping contractions...increased afterload (occluded vessels, etc.) dilates LV.
