bloodpressure

I have been having headaches for 2 weeks so I checked my bloodpressure because its in the family I am 48 yrs old i checked my right arm it was 144/72 and the left was 158/70 should i see a doctor or  take a pain med. what is a normal pressure

I have to agree. When my BP gets out of control, which happens occasionally, it is not unsual to get as high as you say. But in my case it is or hasn't been ever associated with headaches in fact I am hardly aware of that it is happening.

120/80 is really the ideal but few people are lucky enough to have that. Most people average 140/80 - 140/70.

If you have been having headaches for 2 weeks, I would make an appointment with your Doctor. I doubt if your blood pressure will be a concern.. Perhaps you've been under a lot of stress lately?
