Morning trembling

Hi guys, im 21 years old 5' 6" and weigh 122 pounds. I am VERY active and go for 2hr mountain bikes daily and work nights. I always get 8hrs of sleep and for 21yrs i drink very little. In other words i am "im the best shape of my life". About 5 months ago i wasnt feeling great and having chest pain and rapid heart rate. I ended up panicking and started shaking uncontrollable. Since then i get random nights or waking up with a heavy chest, a burning through my left side and down my arm. Every morning and after even the shortest nap i wake up trembling. My boyfriend always asks if im cold because of the way i shake.I have had 3 ekg's and a holter monitor. with no signs of any problems. I have had blood work for my liver, general, glucose, thyroid, and so many others i cant even remember. I have had stool samples, urine samples. every test came back normal. I cant live like this i feel unwell often and am always run down even if i sleep for 12 hrs. Please any advice.

Anxiety can cause many heart rhythm symptoms, and it sounds like you are now suffering anxiety.  This may be a "chick and egg" question, which came first.  The suggestion by Bon Bon that you may have suffered a physical injury that kicked this whole thing off.

Given the heart tests you've had it seems unlikely you have any heart problems...that's good news even if it doesn't answer your question/concerns.

Your primary care doctor may be the best one to talk with as it seems you do not have a heart problem.

Please don't give up or quit, you'll get this worked out and be back to your good health self.

Hi Kuipes.  I'm sorry your going through this.  It is good that all the tests you've had done you say - show no signs of any problems.

Do you have any particular thoughts or ideas in what you think may be bothering you?  You also mentioned that you're in the best shape of your life and that you are VERY active.  Could you have pulled a muscle or injured a nerve thus possibly causing the burning sensation your experiencing?  Is it possible the heavy chest and trembling your experiencing upon awakening be due to ongoing worry from not knowing what is going on, even after a sufficient amount of sleep?

It wouldn't hurt to have a talk with your doctor about your concerns.  It's most likely something that your doctor will be able to easily address and help provide relief for you.

Keep us posted.

Blessings and Pleasant thoughts to you to get well soon. :  )
