Sorry to read you are having a hard time. I suffer from permanent AFib, so I don't know what it feels like to feel AFib coming on. Sotalol is a Class III arrhythmia drug, so you are on some powerful mediation. I see you were also on Amiodorone which I believe is even more powerful. That noted, it appears to me your doctor is trying to get you in NSR with drugs, and if they don't work the only options I know of are 1) electrocardioversion (very easy) 2) ablation (more serious) and 3) open heart Maze procedure. These last two are normally not undertaken unless the patient is having a real bad time with AFib.. your note seems to say you are.
That would happen to me all the time before I had my ablation. Whenever I felt a attack coming on I would either lay down or meditate by listening to music. Meditating helped my alot. Give it a try,
