You know the expression leave well enough alone? Yeeeeah. Not my specialty, apparently. After all these cardiologist appointments this past year (3 holters, Echo) I was given the all clear with less than 1% of total heart beats being PVCs. I had seen a cardiologist when I was 8 (97) and I thought to myself "Hey, I wonder if I've had these all along?" So I tracked down said records and it basically noted a heart murmur with the remote possibility of an atrial septal defect. no tests were done other than an ekg but my parents were to follow up with them for an echo if needed. well, that never happened. As someone who freaks out about PVC's, the thought that there's a possibility for a structural defect is absolutely horrifying. At this point I have to wait and see what my current cardiologist thinks about my old records. In the mean time, I'll be freaking out.
