I now realise that when in AFib, the very frequent visits to urinate during the night are a side effect of the condition in some, if not many, fellow sufferers. In my own case, now I have a pacemaker and have been AV node ablated, the A Fib condition is becoming and will become more frequent and pass from paroxysmal to eventually permanent, and no further treatment is possible now.
Well I can live with that as the other symptoms have been much lessened due to the procedure, but the increasing night time disturbance is not so easy to tolerate as my sleep pattern is not great now. I write to ask if anyone else identifies with this and is there any treatment available to alleviate all this trotting back and forth in the night. I read lots that it is a symptom but nowhere of a treatment. At present I am awake two hourly through the night, though I think it could be worse than that for some others.
