Thanks tom. I noticed last night it was mainly coming from my knee after going upstairs. So will check with my dr.
demps, your groin area will ache for a while. But your calf should not. Perhaps it's a bruised nerve. Keep an eye on it, and look for swelling, coldness in the toes or feet, or tingling feeling in your leg.
Thanks for the advice. I will definately check up on it.i haven't had any of the other symptoms but best to check.
I would call the doctor about this. Considering they went in the wrong place I would not let the symptom go without asking about it. If for some reason you developed a clot it may need to be taken care of so it doesn't cause other problems like breaking off and traveling to your lungs. It could very well be a nerve issue but the symptoms of a blot clot in your legs are,
Swelling in the affected leg, including swelling in your ankle and foot.
Pain in your leg; this can include pain in your ankle and foot. The pain often starts in your calf and can feel like cramping or a charley horse.
Warmth over the affected area.
Changes in your skin color, such as turning pale, red or blue.
If you notice you are starting to have breathing issues then head to the ER. I know these symptoms can be a bit hard to tell from tachycardia but if the blood clot went to the lung you might get these symptoms.
Unexplained sudden onset of shortness of breath
Chest pain or discomfort that worsens when you take a deep breath or when you cough
Feeling lightheaded or dizzy, or fainting
Rapid pulse
Sweating
Coughing up blood
A sense of anxiety or nervousness
I am not at all saying you have a clot but since you recently were worked on your leg the pain warrants a call to the doctors office. They didn't go in my artery so I am not sure if this is typical but I did not have leg pain after my ablation so just call the doctor to find out what they think.
