Hi
I am 27 and was diagnosed with SVT when I was 13, I had an ablation in 2005 and have been fine on a whole it was the best thing that ever happened to me, I probably could do with a few extra sessions in the gym, however my BMI is perfect and I would be classed healthy , I sometimes get a short spell of SVT with my heart going around 200 bpm but it never lasts more than a couple of minutes so I was quite pleased with the outcome.
I had a week in 2007 where I was suffering from ectopic beats a bit similar to what I suffered for 2 weeks after my ablation. This is now back with vengeance and for the past month, I have had 3 outbreaks of this kind. This week has been the longest. My ECG and heart rate are showing some irregular beats but nothing major and I am not as immobile as I would be in my old SVT rhythm. However, this has been going on for a week now, which my old rhythm would have give way by now, I'm tired by mid day, I've given in and took some time off work as I'm dizzy, dehydrated this is giving me severe headaches but I’m drinking twice as much water.
I've got chest and neck pain which my GP thinks is skeletal pain as it is under the left breast with only what I would describe as a pin ***** sting pain in my heart. I think I can differentiate between heart pain as there was tenderness after my ablation which I can relate to. I'm breathless with a lack of energy which has been the biggest effect.
I have just read about Cardiac neurosis and am now worried that maybe this isn’t my SVT coming back to haunt me and maybe I've brought this on myself, I'm a trainee teacher with a busy life but I’ve always been busy even with SVT. I just automatically assumed my heart was finding another pathway. I'm waiting to see my cardiologist again and my GP due to my history is quite patient and isn’t happy just to pass this off as anxiety however I am now even more worried that I’ve brought this on myself, do you have any advice as I’m just following a waiting game, sat at home on hold until it either gives in or I see my cardiologist. Also is there any chance this could be hormonal, I’ve recently stopped having the Depot injection?
Kind Regards
Louise
