I meant to say *ease* with exercise, not east. Sheesh it's late.
Why is do you think we can't have caffeine or have other stimulants?
Caffeine is a stimulant, stimulants make the heart more "excitable".
What do you think went wrong?
Don't know. Probably nothing. Just irritable electrical circuits.
Have you been diagnosed with these certain arrythmias you described.
Yes.
I haven't yet and was wondering if you thought these symptoms were something serious that could threatin me. I can't run anymore without getting skipped beats of maybe 4 in a row.
You need to know for sure what they are before you can let your mind rest.
Sometimes they come on with no stimulants while i'm resting.
For benign PACs/PVCs that many of us exprience, having them happen with rest and east with exercise is actually pretty common.
I cant understand this.
Join the club! lol
I have a structuraly normal heart cause i has a ct scan done with 0 calcification and had a normal ultrsound done.
Awesome!
I fear a stress test for fear something will happen to me so i will probobly do a monitor of some sort.
A stress test is just a walk on the treadmill. I've had a bunch of them, don't worry about it. A Holter monitor would be a GREAT idea. It's non-invasive, doesn't hurt and provides a lot of very good info. The wires are annoying, but it's only a day or two.
Hope this helps.
Hi, I thought i would post this message to you because i share alot of the same restrictions on what i can and can't have with my arrythmias. I have been dealing with these seriously since 2004 but i can remember late in my teens have an episode once in a blue moon now they are all the time. I realize this is a lot of questions and you are not a doctor, but your the only person i have found that has these same restrictions since i have been on here. I would very much appreciate anyfeed back you can give. Thank you
While none of these are guarantees, the following *can* trigger my supraventricular episodes, both PACs and PSVT:
Stress
Hormones
Illness
Pregnancy
Exercise (over-exercising)
Yelling very loud
Certain positions (leaning forward, laying of left side)
Reflux/esophageal spasm
Dehydration
Improper nutrition
Caffeine (so soda or coffee in 14 years)
Decongestants (none of these in 14 years either)
Ibuprofen (seriously...anything over 200mg)
at random :) Quite frequently, i would have 3+ episodes daily, the only known trigger i found that worked 100% of the time was eating...However when i was sick, it was notably worse. Now, standing up i get quite tachy and it sustains itself until i sit back down.
Fatigue, fluid retention, emotional stress, certain activities (rushing around, never been able to run because I'll go tachy), lifting things over 20 lbs (I can do 50 lbs but pay the price), oh - and too much chocolate :-)
