PSVT

I suddenly developed PSVT.  I have had all of the heart tests and have clear heart arteries and a normal heart function.  Could this be caused by a tick bite or a parasite?  I was at the beach around the time this started and found a scab on my leg under my knee in the soft tissue but didn't think anything of it then.

This discussion is related to paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.

Actually Lymes Disease for tick bites.....one of the definate symtoms is heart related among other things. Lyme Disease can cause irregular heart beats and an accelerated heart so yes.  The only reason i know this Linda and jhr is that i live in the Wine Country and we have lots and lots of deer here and they are infested w. ticks.  The standing rule here is if you get a tick on your own body you have to twist it off, put it in a jar and send it to the center for disease control in Atlanta to be tested and if its positive you have to get millions of mg's of tetracycaline or whatever the doc wants to put in you.  It mimics rhuematic fever of the heart.  I would definately ask your doc to test you for Lyme.  Just better to be safe then sorry....one of my daughters when she was 8 years old got a tick on her ...we sent it off to the CDC who tests it for free....and it was infected so my daughter who is now 29 got the treatment and is now fine..but without it it could have been very very bad....get proactive...i don't know where you live but if you have ticks in your area wellllll......

No, I don't think so. At least I've never heard of that.  It was probably just a coincidence that this happened about the same time.  You've never been diagnosed with PSVT before?
