Yeah i've just noticed the little skips and quick runs of palps. But they are nothing like before. When I used to get the skips or thumping sensation it used to really startle me and sometimes made me abit dizzy, where as now I jusy feel a odd beat and it does nothing. I think i'm just really intune with feeling differen't beats and like you say I just need to ignore them. I'm sure once i've had my follow up appointment I will feel more relaxed about it all. So roll on the new year!
You will definitely have all sorts of odd beats and such for at least the first year. You may never fully get rid of everything but the main goal is to stop any sustained tachycardia. Little runs that don't affect our vitals much aren't a big concern. It is only when our vitals start to get compromised that we need to take action. Other than that we just have to learn to ignore them. Ah for the days when we didn't notice our hearts. Talk to you later.
yeah I still get the occasional feeling of a bump of the heart and it's been four months since mine but they are very mild and not as frequent as they used to be. Take care..
Thanks tom. I've just had little runs of palps, and skips. So I will just hang in there. Not like i'm not used to it at least.
Just glad it's not like it used to be.
Lots and lots of jumps, skips, short runs of SVT for up to a year or more, Rachael. What you don't want are long runs of SVT. That's not a good sign that your procedure was successful. Right now, you're essentially building a scar tissue block across the former accessory path. There can be some conduction during the healing process, and like I said earlier, it can take months for the "block" to really set in. Hang in there!
