Thanks, Jerry. There is plenty of research to indicate that untreated and/or under-treated obstructive and/or central sleep apnea can be a contributing cause to heart arrythmias and Atrial Fibrillation.
The newer CPAP, APAP and bi-level PAP devices can record and report Periodic Breathing during sleep and I am curious if there is any relationship between PB and A Fib and/or other heart arrythmias.
Sorry I have no idea what you are referring to, but I do know AFib is a physical problem in the electrical signals in the heart and that can be due to damage form some disease or it can simply be a pre-disposition (inherited) of our birth. AFib is more common with advanced age.
