Please do not let that person run you off. We like your posts here. I like to hear everyone's opinion. Besides, you are not the only one who has had a "problem" with a certain CL. I think some people are just territorial. STAY!
Jumping in here late, and I didn't read every word in this long thread... but in case it was missed, our mod "momto3" has a permanent post at the top of the list:
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Heart-Rhythm/WELCOME/show/529980
I think it does a good job of setting out how one can achieve a good benefit from participation in this forum. It may not reach the level of "rules", but I think if one takes the guidance to heart (ha) they will do fine without knowing or having any (or The) official rules.
I know what you're saying, BUT with acceptance nothing changes and we as patients need to change healthcare overall.
with this last note to some very dear friends; I wish you all well - because of the stress I've let myself get under with the heart disease forum fiasco and an unnamed community leader there - I will no longer be posting on MH; unless with my new therapist I can come to terms with coping with what's happened and I feel like it if something like this happens again it will not hurt my mental state.
BTW; I did get a 2nd message from another moderator - please do not stop asking questions; there is NOTHING wrong they have told me about asking questions - if it's on the topic of conversation and you don't completely take over the thread for your own purpose.
If we don't ask questions, we will never find the answers - keep searching until you do.
Good luck all =)
Uh, sorry, it will never happen again :D
I know you have a hard time with your arrhythmias. I can't even figure how difficult it must be (I had a really stressful day yesterday and when I went to bed I had a (in my opinion) serious flare-up of my PACs, I think I felt 50-60 of them before sleep. That would be 1-2 a minute. That can really ruin my day. I can't even imagine what 50.000 PVCs feels like, and I pray every day hoping that I never will experience it.
And I understand that it's hard to have a heart disease even the best cardiologist can't diagnose. My best guess is that you've at some point had a heart inflammation of some sort, along with ANS dysfunction, but that's only guessing.
Anyway, my point was that most people don't get heart inflammations or other serious heart diseases, so most PACs and PVCs are actually caused by stress. And I know how it can ruin the life quality to worry about the heart 24/7. Research shows that this condition is often more serious to life quality than a heart disease itself (of course, in your case you have the double effect). And an essential point is: If you can't trust a cardiologist, who can you trust? They are, in some way, the supreme court of heart diseases. But even the supreme court can make wrong judgements, but they are rare. At some point in life, most people just have to accept to live with risk. We accept that choice several times during the day, but most of the choices we don't even think about. Like driving a car. Walking along a road with heavy traffic. Life is dangerous, and we'll have to accept that.
we brits? i just love you brits! :)
this was the comment I got in my inbox.
I removed a couple of your posts because they're insulting (I'm referring to your statements that a member should "go back on his meds". Disagreement's fine -- everyone learns when that happens -- but we require civility.
I wrote back that ... the comment was a sarcastic one and one made in fun. I also said it is the way we Brits have a laugh, She didn't reply :(
