bradycardia at young age

Hi,
I am a 28year old phd student. 7-8months before I had some breathing prob, dizziness, lightheadedess, palpitations. I went to a cardiologist he said to me to bring a ecg report and my report was normal.  After that he suggested me to quit cigarette. It was tough but finally I did it, i don't take any cigarette for 5months. But those problems which i listed above don't leave me. I went to the doc. again. Now, he said to me to have a holter test and tmt test. In my holter test the lowest heart rate is 36/min and max pause 2.4sec, and my tmt report is normal, no Arrhythmia is found, i have completed 4th stage of tmt with ease. I can't say i am like a athlete but I used to exercise regularly. If I have a bradycardia(as doc. said) then why is my tmt is normal, when i have heart rate>60/min then also why i experience lightheadedness, dizziness and another thing in my holter report 36/min was reported when i was sleeping, when I awake my heart rate always in between 50-65/min.  Also, I feel better when I exercise, I can run 20min nonstop . Please, tell me how serious my condition is.

A rate of 36 sleeping isn't unheard of in some who exercises regularly but it all depends on a person's tolerance level.  Some people are affected by the slower rate while others are just fine.  It's hard to say for sure but your light headedness and dizziness could be related to the palpitations as opposed to the slow rate.  The palpitations could be related to premature beats which can make the heart feel like it is jumpy.  Sounds like you had a clean holter which may rule that out but premature beats can come and go. I would say see if you can have an echo done to check the structure of the heart to make sure it is sound.  Maybe see if you can get a 30 day monitor to catch the palpitations if you didn't sense they were present on the day you had the holter.  And try to drink lots of water.  It will help the heart function better.  Unfortunately the only cure for bradycardia is a pacemaker and the doctor will try to avoid that for as long as possible given your young age so just try to do your best to investigate possible life style changes that help you feel better.  Quitting smoking was a very very good start.   As odd as this may sound, stomach issues seem to flare up my palpitations so what for things that cause excess gas and treat any acid reflux and see if that helps.  Other than that just try to deep breath and relax when you feel the lightheadedness and palpitations.  Best of luck sorting it out.  Keep us posted on how you are doing.

After this I have been going through many tests, like ---All Time BP monitoring(ABPM) for 24hrs, Head up tilt test . The 2nd test is the important test , it can tell a person the cause of his or her dizziness, lightheadedness--For me it came out Neuro problem, not cardiac problem...I have Vasodepressor response . My cardiologist said to me not to worry, it is most common cause of dizziness and fainting and said to add some diets and stretching exercises in my life style . I have searched many articles on this they all say same. one can check here...http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/vasovagal-syncope/diagnosis-treatment/diagnosis/dxc-20184786......

Now, as I said before I use to exercise in regular basis.....now, after this diagnose can i exercise that much ? Without exercise life is dull to me.....can anyone help me or is there anyone having same problem then please let me know how is your life-style...

At last I thank you for your answer and time..
take care..
