Should I be freaking out?

I have had palpitations, dizzy spells and sharp chest pain since my early 20's. However, the pain has changed. instead of the shortness of breath, dizzy spells or pressure on my chest being a random occurrence, it seems to be all the time. My heart beats fast all of the time, my glands are constantly swollen, the dizziness and lack of energy gets in the way of everyday responsibilities. I have had some tests done ( stress test, wore a monitor for a week, x-rays) and I have been to the E.R. for a panic attack (didn't know that's what it was a t the time). My doctor was the only one who reviewed my test results, told me - it was just stress and prescribed me xanax. I took them twice and it didn't help, nor did I like how i felt on them. I get numbness in my legs and arms (worse if I drink alcohol), migraines, tense and can be relaxing but feel my heart racing like i am running.  I know it is more than stress, its obvious to me that it gets worse sometimes do to stress but I am working two part time jobs to put myself through school and do not have health insurance. Any thoughts on what it could be?

For over a year i have felt my heart beat in my whole body. When i would lay on bed at night i could have swore it was in my face, i couldn't hold anything without feeling it in my hands. No matter what i was doing i felt it somewhere in my body. Now all of this started after i came to a point in my life where i got really stressed out. My heart rate would stay at about 125 resting. Unlike you i figured it was the stress causing it but my Dr wanted me to see a Heart Doctor. The HD ran a bunch of test a stress test, echo test, echo bubble test, I wore a heart monitor And at this time my blood pressure was running around 140/90 and at times it would be 160/110. Now I'm 31 years old have never had high blood pressure in good shape other than I'm a light smoker. All of my test results where normal other than my heart skipped a lot but they said it was no big deal. Even after the Dr's told me everything was fine i stilled worried about it just as much. Well about two weeks after my testing my heart really went crazy. It would skip every 3rd or 4th beat for several hours at a rate of about 150. I ended up in the ER a few times where the Dr told me i wad having panic attacks. Finally after getting myself in check it all started getting a little better. My blood pressure is now 110/70. My heart rate hardly ever gets above 90 and when it does its never over 105 and i think a lot of it has to do with smoking. If i was you i would see about some insurance and get all the test ran so it will give you a piece of mind and most likely everything will be fine but i learned the hard way that stress and anxiety can do a number on you. It's always better to be safe this because there is many different things that can give symptoms like yours . Good Luck

like my heart is racing. It is different at different times... I can lay down and feel it pounding without putting my hand on my chest, sometimes it feels like spasms, sometimes i can feel it in my head but i don't have to do physical activity for this to happen.
