Update : Week 6 and now 27 years old

Well here is the latest update. 6 weeks after my ablation for AVNRT I keep feeling better and better. My lifestyle has changed 10 fold. I have more energy then ever before and less fear and worry about what I do. I have been able to sleep on my left side which was impossible to do prior without getting a full blown SVT attack. My weight training is back on track and I'm loving it. Lost the bad stuff and gained some good. My fiance is so happy to have this over with, it's completely changed us all for the better. I have not had one episode of SVT since the procedure.  Compared to going to the hospital every 2 days to be converted and then stress out on when the next attack will be, this is a huge step up for me.

On this day the 7th of june I have now hit my 27th birthday and I am cured of any tachycardia and it is by far the greatest gift I have ever received. Next up is the wedding in 2 months. Man does time go by fast when you can finaly see the light and the end of the tunnel.

To anyone curious of wondering whether or not to do the procedure, just do it. The benefits far out weight the bad. The actual procedure is usually painless, more stressful then anything else. Once your in the operating room you are surrounded by specialist and nurses that only want to cure you. It's a chance at a new life. Take it! you won't regret it.

Thank you all for your support ( you know who you are )
I shall keep giving out mine

Man i love reading your posts.....it puts a smile on my face to see someone who has embraced life so quickly after the procedure and is going for the brass ring in life here.  I know not all people are going to get a passing grade as an A after the procedure but reading your posts i think gives everyone hope.  And Darlingoria just so you know i am in my mid 50's and had a successful ablation three years ago so i think it may depend on your individual situation but from what i understand ......a heart is a heart is a heart......keep up the great work lane and Darlingoria good luck on your procedure....hopefully we'll see your posts here just as up beat and happy as lanes are.....

Merci beaucoup,

It is true that before the procedure I had difficulty with sudden movements as they would/ could start an attack. Not being able to sleep on my left side was so strange. No matter how much time I spent on the left I was almost 100% guaranteed too have an episode. I had mentioned this to my doctor and EP. The EP said it's a common case for people with SVT. They are not sure on what causes it still. Same goes for bending forward or a sudden movement while getting up.  Very common in people with SVT.

I Can't wait for you to finaly have you procedure done. I hope you get a successful ablation and that even at 60 you get to enjoy life even more then ever before. I'll be here for you and everyone else.

Congratulations on the 35th year anniversary that is something I can only dream of having with my loved one. You got married on a lucky #7 ;)

Joyeux anniversaire à vous et votre nouveau coeur!

Delighted to hear that you are still doing well lane.  I have one more week to go before my procedure and although I am very nervous about having it done, I am also excited that I may be able to get my life back on track after dealing with PSVT for so long.  I had another episode early Sunday morning, just lying in bed, trying to get to sleep and BOOM, there it goes again, down on the floor immediately, feet elevated, vagal maneuver, carotid massage and it stopped.... I read that you said you could not sleep on your left side which is the same for me, also did you find episodes would come on just by bending over, doing a sudden quick turn ...  it just does your head in .... at least I haven't had to call the paramedics the last 3 times because I converted myself after 5 - 15 minutes.

From what I have been reading here, I truly think I have AVNRT, in which case it should be an easy fix for me.  However, I am 60 so I am twice your age and I have been dealing with this twice as long.  All I can say is bring on next Tuesday, I can't take any more.

BTW, aujourd'hui est mon anniversaire de noce (35 ans)
