Allergy to beta blocker, now my heart really hurts?

I was put in a beta blocker last month because my heart rate was 120 bpm. It was this high because my GP had me on too high a dose of my thyroid medication. My cardiologist put me on the beta blocker and the first day I took it, my lungs felt paralyzed (I'm asthmatic). I pushed it for 3 weeks but I was nearly fainting daily and having odd symptoms. My cardiologist told me I was allergic to them and told me to stop the BBs immediately. However, now my heart hurts badly all day long (it's especially bad when I get tired or cross my legs) and I'm worried I might have some kind of event. It's Easter holidays and I can't see my cardiologist or GP. I had two GPs check my heart rate two days ago and it was 140bpm. Is there anything I can do?
