heart fluttering at night

I have been having heart fluttering at night when I go to sleep. It only happens when I go to sleep and it wakes me up. I can lay in bed or on couch to watch tv without a problem. I bought a new adjustable bed because If I raise my head to about 45 degrees it will stop and I have to try to sleep this way the rest of the night. I went to my doctor with my problem she said it was GERD (acid reflux) and gave me meds but problem hasn't stopped. I am healthy and walk everyday without any heart problems but do not understand why this came out of nowhere.  Anybody have any hints or answers please.
