I'm sure you've read a lot about ablation procedures here on this community.  From what I have read I'd say 3 hours on the "table" is not unusually long.  On the other hand, I have read mostly that the recovery was relatively fast and simple in most cases.  Still, some have reported groin difficulties and others have reported that the ablation did not accomplish what was intended.

Overall, I think most have reported some level of improvement from the ablation procedure.

Again, I have no experience in how a governmental health care system works, but I believe all intend to make the patient well/better.  It sounds like you should be given more attention, and you have a basis for an appeal for early medical attention.

well im hoping that i will be seen before november,im starting to wonder if at the time of the ablation some damage was done,it was very traumatic and lasted 3 hours with me being wide awake, both pathways were hard to get at with them going through the groin and neck which was painful...........it just seems a little odd when apart from the svt i had nothing wrong...............x

You are under medical care, that should help settle you mind some.  Still I think it would be better if you could get an appointment with a cardiologist before November.

Here in the USA I believe I could get an appointment this week if I had a big concern.  But that's private medicine for you... we're thinking about changing, as you may know if you follow US politics at all.  I can say I don't follow the UK political scene beyond whatever is on the international news.  I do know several people who are citizens of the UK, so I am not totally disconnected/disinterested.
