I had the same problem too, when I wore any type of monitor,a lot of the time I wouldnt have my normal amount of palps ects...a lot of people deal with that too,Im not sure if its the comfort of the monitor so our hearts take the day off that day lol or what..but hopefully yours will act up so it will be caught! Then they can figure out whats going on.
a holter monitor will record continuously for the period it is worn and should pick-up record any abnormal heart rhythms present.
an event monitor which is usually worn longer than 24hrs is as described by momto3
An "event" monitor will only pick up what you actually record. When you feel the flutters (or other symptoms), you will push the "record" button and transmit the recording over the phone line. The doctor will receive a copy of the recordings/strips and determine if your symptoms correlate to any type of arrhythmia.
