Low resting heart rate

I have a question when i had my son while in the hospital my resting heart rate was in the high 40's now im not sure a year later i went to a heart dr. whichw a about a month ago and they did and EKG and an echo and said my heart was fine should i still worry if i have a low heart rate or was it from my being preganat.

Well maybe you feel like you aren't in good shape but sounds like your heart may be.......lucky lucky......

I defimately wouldn't worry about it if your doc isn't .  Remember pro althletes like Lance Armstrongs resting heart rate is in the upper 30's.  In actuality most althletes and those in great shape generally have low heart rates because the heart is a muscle and like most muscles in the body they can be worked out like the rest of your muscles.  Count yourself very lucky that you got a clean bill of health and have a heart that is beating slow and relaxed its alot better than the opposite........and congrats on your pregnancy and baby!
