Anchelia,
Hope I got the name right, lol but thanks for the info some new info that was useful from this. I will follow all orders and take my rest seriously as I want to heal properly and listen to my doc and advice thank you, and may god bless u
I also have papilations bromely and they are very unpleasant and sometimes leave me breathless. I learned a lot from my research on the cause but still like to see people with real experience on the cause.
Bromel,
It typically takes around 2-8 weeks to heal. Healing naturally without anti-inflammatorys may take longer. The time frame of healing from this is tricky because sometimes it can be chronic lasting 6 months to years (less common)....not treating this to my understanding isn't good as it can become aggravated and be a serious condition as the sack that's inflamed becomes hard instead of cushiny messing with the hearts ability to function properly. Rest Is very important I was told to take a week off of anything that requires exercise or increased heart rate. Also given ibprophen 600 mg to take twice daily. I hope you decide to get checked as the hearts nothing to gamble on. Better safe than sorry. Best of luck, may god bless you.
If you google pericarditis, you will see that some proposed causes of pericarditis (inflammation of the sac that contains the heart) include various types of infection--viruses (like colds), bacteria, fungi--and a bunch of other conditions. The truth is that is really difficult to know for sure, and quite often no cause is precisely determined.
What happens is that the pericardium, that sac around the heart, gets irritated by something and weeps fluid into the space between its several layers and the heart, which can obviously put some physical pressure on the ticker--which the ticker does not love.
While the condition can sometimes get serious, in general if you get treatment promptly, as you did, most articles say that recovery will usually take place in two weeks to three months. Obviously, it can take a while, and rest and anti inflammatory meds like Motrin are the mainstays of treatment.
There is a chance of recurrence, so although it's difficult, stifle your impatience and do just as the doc ordered. Give your bod a good opportunity to heal.
Hi. I've been a little hesitant to dive in on this one because I don't know anything about the subject matter. I am hoping some one will eventually answer your question.
Not too long ago, I had a cold myself and after I was done with it some chest pain and palpitations that lasted about 4-6 weeks. I was very anxious and felt dizzy in the mornings.
I was kinda wanting a time frame on how long something like heart inflamtion lasted just to understand if there was any possibility that some sort of viral related heart inflammation could have triggered this little aberration. Have you gotten your question answered elsewhere yet?
