Cardiomyopathy??

http://m.hopkinsmedicine.org/asc/faqs.html
I know a lot of people have advised me in past not to use google for my symptoms but I really want to find out what's wrong with me and what is the cure
But my GP my cardiologist and doctors in emergency can't figure it out what is wrong
The daily amount of adrenaline my body produce is harm for my heart but they don't take any notice
These symptoms are the reason of my anxiety as well
People think these symptoms are here because I'm anxious but no a big NO I'm anxious cause of these symptoms they scare me
They always come out of blue doesn't matter what I'm doing
I want to have more babies a normal life but could my body bear the labour pain?
I'm on beta blocker which can't let me conceive the baby
My life is so disturbed because of my condition
Why doctors can't help?
M I suffering with cardiomyopathy? Without knowing??

There is no answer to your 'why',  but it really does not matter.  What matters is the FACT that your heart is healthy.  *Nothing* is wrong with it.  Yes, you are aware of uncomfortable sensations, but they mean nothing in terms of your health.  It is only fear that is keeping you from dancing and playing with your own child.

As you now must know, you have to take positive action:  Keep your visits with your therapist/shrink and take the medications that are prescribed for you.

Hi thank you
So all those years they haven't found nothing? I mean your doctor and cardiologist couldn't tell u what is wrong inside your body?
This is what scares me a lot that all those tests came out fine then why my heart and body feels the way it shouldn't
When I see girls of my age laughing, dancing enjoying it hurts me a lot
I can't even play or run with my own child
Even if I laugh loud it triggers me
What to do?

I. Know how you feel with the anxiety , I started having  flutters when I was 12 had really fast heart beat one night, went away didn't have anything elsa until I was 23 it hit me hard, though I was dying heart was beating funny, hard, scard it was.

Than it went to having them here and there, I just knew I was dying, but here I am 34 years later still alive and still having my strange beats

Mine have been seen many times on monitors and watched at the hospital so I know mine are Pacs

Yes even now they scare me, I get them for days Constance , every other heart beat at time, very stressful, than boom they just go away

So hang in there as long as your hearts been check and they say good, try and relax, easy said I know,,,,,,,,Heart

I completely agree with the previous poster.  You can't keep running from your fear.  You have to eventually confront it one way or another so you can live your life.  Seeing someone is the best way to overcome it but do try to walk through it when it comes up.  You are much stronger than you may think you are.  Hang in there and dig deep and you will get past this.

Sagi, you have been having problems with heart anxiety since you started posting in 2012.  You're young and female (which automatically puts you at low risk for heart trouble), and your heart has been tested many, many times, each time indicating that it is healthy.

The biggest issue is the fear you feel from that the sensations of your benign ectopic beats.  In looking over your 170 or so posts expressing the panic you are feeling, I see that you have been given a lot of good advice, but one thing is missing:  You need to take advantage of it.

I know from experience that PVCs are scary for those of us who are very sensitive to them.  I also know that it is up to us to find a way to handle our fear, for we cannot inflict this on our children or the rest of our family.  As a mother, you certainly *know*, right down to the ground, that your child is aware of your problems, though he doesn't understand what is going on.  Think of how fearful another baby would be if you had him before getting your anxiety under control.

Your posts indicate that you are afraid of medication, but I can tell you that in my own life, those very prescriptions saved my hash and made a better  life possible for me and my family.

It really is time to see a shrink and follow his/her instructions exactly, so that you can be a fully-functioning and happy mother, rather than a prisoner of fear.

First and foremost, did you feel like you were passing out when you were driving or did you just become afraid of what you were feeling and started to freak out?  Has your heart been tested and did you get diagnosed with any sort of tachycardia or rhythm issue?  It sounds like you have anxiety related ectopic beats.  Pvcs will cause a pause feeling though it really isn't a pause but either way they can be disconcerting and frightening.  But most importantly the thing to know is that they are considered normal by the medical community though I don't think of them as normal but they are NOT a danger to you so long as they don't make you pass out.  It sounds like the fear you have about them is your biggest stumbling block.  To put this simply if you are having pvcs, which it sounds like you are, they are really just extra beats and your heart can handle them.  It is only when someone has 20,000 or more a day that they become a concern.  The worst thing you can do is worry and panic about them.  It will actually make you have more of them and make them feel worse.  It is possible that having the baby stressed your heart a bit or simply triggered one of the beats and once they are triggered they can go off at anytime but unless there is major heart disease and scarring of the heart they will very well never cause a person any danger.  If your heart has not been evaluated to be structurally fine it might be wise to do so.  If you have not caught what you are feeling you may want to try and see if you can get a holter or event monitor to try and record what you are feeling.  At least this will be able to give the doctor a better idea of what is going on.  And if it turns out that it is just these extra beats I spoke about then you have nothing to worry about but it is important to know what exactly you are feeling to be sure.

This said it is very likely what you are having is not a threat to you but it also may never settle down until you can get your stress and anxiety under control.  So put your focus on learning to handle stress and anxiety, Do yoga or meditation or even go see someone if you think it will help.  But I suspect if you are able to get a handle on the stress and anxiety the situation is causing you your ectopic beats will settle down in response. You may always throw one here and there, I do almost every day but the less you panic about them the less they will take over your life.   I think it wise to not drive if you are panicking when these occur but if you are having benign ectopic beats there should be no reason for you to not drive so long as they are not making you pass out.  There should also be no reason you to not have another child but you do need to address the fear the ectopics are causing you.  Once you do that you will gain your life and dreams back.  My best to you.  I know anything with the heart can be scary but there is a lot that goes on with the hear that it can tolerate.  It really is an amazingly strong and resilient muscle that can deal with all sorts of oddities and still keep blood pumping just fine.  Stay strong and take charge of what is going on and I suspect you will feel much better.  Take care.

Thank u for reply
They checked me every 6 months I mean my bloods for thyroids, blood count, kidneys blood sugar etc
I experienced 1st skipped beat after my father's death when I was only 13
I was having them now and then afterwards but they got worst after my son born at the age of 22 I'm 25 years old now
My skipped beats are like ecotopic beats first like they feel like something is wrong and then a pause and that pause gives a jolt to my whole body for that moment sometimes it's repeats itself but sometimes after a sudden pauses it becomes normal rhythm, my cardiologist banned me to drive on motorways cause I was on main road in December with my 3years old son driving in night time when this happened I really thought I'm losing control of the car because of these skipped beats, so I'm driving but local not far one
This sudden skipped beats happens to me in any time no matter what I'm doing
Walking, talking, laughing, dancing, playing with my son, driving,in gym, on bed
I'm to scared to get pregnant again and labour

Your post is a little general.  What exactly do you feel?  Are you short of breath, do you have pain?  Do you feel your heart jumping around?  Do you feel it beating fast?  If so how fast?  Can you count the beats?  If it is beating fast does the feeling come on all of a sudden in one beat and stop just as quickly?  If your heart has been tested it is not likely you have cardiomyopathy but no one on this board can say for certain.  You need a doctor to diagnose you.  It is possible if your heart has been tested and you are having a fast beat in the 100s then it could be caused by something outside your heart.  Thyroid issues can cause a raised pulse so if you haven't had yours checked it might be wise to do so.  I will also say that stress and anxiety can creep up without you noticing.  I went years not fully conscious of the stress and anxiety I was holding inside.  Either way the worst thing you can do is to become anxious about what is going on.  The more you stress about it the worse you will make the symptoms so try and do whatever you can to manage any stress in your life and see if it helps.  The more you can eliminate stress as a factor before during or after the better you will be able to distinguish what exactly you are feeling without it getting muddied by stress hormones.  I would also suggest to stay away from caffeine, energy drinks, supplements for energy, and sugar and carbohydrates.  Those things are known to cause the heart to act up. Basically try to eliminate anything that might cause the heart to act up and see what symptoms you still have.  Then approach your doctors with your findings.

Finally I read the link you posted about Stress Cardiomyopathy and it sounds like they are using the term to define people who present with heart attack symptoms who are not actually having a heart attack.  If this is the case I would think the chest pain a person would feel would be pretty intense.   If your chest pain isn't severe and sustaining then I would try and not focus on cardiomyopathy. Unfortunately though heart rhythm issues can be a bit tricky to diagnose so just do your best to keep a heart journal everyday on what you eat, what you were doing when the symptoms started, what the symptoms were, how long they lasted.  Anything that can help the doctors narrow down where the problem may be rising from.  Be persistent about this and hopefully one day you can find a resolution.  Best of luck and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Cardiomyopathy, I think, is diagnosed via standard testing .  If youve already had a workup, they may have ruled it out.  Hard to say.  Bet if you talk to your doc, they could give you some advice...   Sorry to hear you're feeling anxious.
