steroids with svt/afib?

Hi all,well i awoke this morning with severe pain in my left arm moving up up neck,its happened a few times, just not quite so much pain,so i was worried it could be a blood clot or a heart attack,got dressed and off to the er,so the doc said he believed it was a herneated disk and gave me two steroid shots,and a pk taking six first day and on to five and down to one the last day,I ask him if they might make my h/r go up tp high and he said no he dident think so.Well he was wrong by the time i took 4 my h/r was one o five at rest,its now around 88  and i still have to take them tomorrow and for a few more days.Does anyone have any experence with anything like this?Im not in panic mode but im not comfortable with these steroids messing with my h/r because in 08 i had a bout with my h/r going up to 240 bpm.Thanks for any help.Also i told him about my h/r problems.

Thanks Jerry,I just dident take any more of those pills and my h/r is ok since then,You are right i have to try to stay more calm and positive.Youre a great guy Jerry,You somehow are able to keep alot of worrywarts like myself from worrying ourselves sick over our h/r problems.I wish you well and thanks again.

I would not be alarmed by a resting HR of 88.  Keep a watch to be sure it doesn't go much higher, say over 130.  Those are my numbers, but are reasonable thresholds to watch for in my experience.  I have permanent AFib.

Try to be positive/calm, that will help settle the HR down.
