I know, its scary....all the what ifs.
Then I think of a friend that was in awesome shape, given a clean bill of health, who died of a massive heart attack without any warnings, at a young age.
Try to just relax, and if you cant, then insist on a 30 day event recorder. That will catch them and show where they are coming from.
Can understand that- But yeah just hard for me to figure out when its really "safe" to just let it go.-
Also just like mentioned, they never catch any of them and to their conclusion it means my heart is as healthy as they come-
(which of course is nice and hopefully they are right... But yeah)-
Well I can understand that. If you have seen the cardiologist, I would let it rest for now unless you start having symtpoms. They are scary though, I know. I am so use to mine tahat the only time they scare me is when they are every other beat for more than 20 seconds, or if I feel something new. Now that I have had a couple near faints, I am definately concerned.
BTW, no so far they dont really effect me other then mental. I dont feel like fainting or any "real" pain-. Just a large "thump!" in the chest that lasts a second per extrasystole which may range from one a day- to 10-15- to days with none. So not anything on as large as scale as many ive heard of (heard of people with 1000).
I just freeze for a second or two then it effects my anxiety.
Okay, well Just cant figure out if I should put my thougths to rest or if its something i should keep on trying to get caught? (getting one of the extrasystoles on paper)
Drives me crazy :)
Well the thing is, lots of people have occasional ones. They need to catch them to see exactly what it is (pvc, pac, etc...) and they also need to see where its coming from. That said, the majority of people will have an occasional blip, and they arent going to just monitor everyone for the sake of monitoring it. Thats why when you feel something, you see your doctor, and they kind of figure out if they think maybe you should be seen by a cardiologist. The cardio will use his experience to determine if you need to further investigate. Usually they only will do this if you are having lots of them or if you are having dizzy spells, fainting, stuff like that.
