Hep A

Lately I been diagnosed to be a hep A victim, and my SGPT marks at 4243 and I been in medication for couple of weekks and my sgpt lows down, my doctor said that am cured, and required me to have anti hep a vaccine, is a posibilty that symptoms will come back as time goes by?

  10%–15% of patients might experience a relapse of symptoms during the 6 months after acute illness.
I don’t understand why your Dr. wants you to be vaccianted now. I was always told once you had HAV (or HBV), there is no need for vaccination. However, I am not a Dr.

Hi -   I have had the Hep A vaccine and have had no symptoms.
