Can I still reach my Dream? Is there a life after Hepatitis B?

Im a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing in FEU and I now, a REGISTERED NURSE as I passed the Nov 2008 board examination. I graduated as *** LAUDE in my school hoping that this recognition could bring me to success. Until now, i can't believe that all my dreams will just fade because of my condition. I was diagnosed with hepatitis B when we had our screening when I was in 2nd year college..I wAS so blessed that i was able to finish college even with this kind of condition. But now, that i'm a registered nurse, new worries and fears hunted me..." Do I still have a chance to work as a nurse in the other country?" " iS it possible for me to work here in the Philippines as a nurse knowing that Filipinos are not that open and very strict with regards to this kind of topics?" Now I don't know what to do...Im just praying for someone that God will send to me, which will serve as his instrument in giving me hope and encouragement with regards to my condition. I'm a healthy carrier since I got this disease from my mom...Hope for your reply

hi guys pasensiya na tagal ko di nakabisita. hehe. pero madalas ako dun sa mga international forums. at eto napagalaman ko dun share ko lang:

condition1:
HbeAG positive
SGPT/SGOT not normal
HBV DNA very high
liver fibrosis F1-F2

Suggestion: treatment is important, take antiviral either tenofovir or entecavir until magnegative ang hbeag and anti hbe positive. SGPT/SGOT normal and HBV DNA undetectable. Kapag nangyari lahat ng ito monitor na ang HBSAG QUANTITATIVE in IU/ML.. usuless na ang ibang test kapag lahat nagnormal na. Take vitd25OH test also, kapag deficient ka kasi mas mababa immune system. You can take vitd3 10,000 IU kng deficient

HBSAG QUANTITATIVE IN IU/ML more than 2000 IU/ML

suggestion: take antivirals and montitor hbsag count, again in IU/ML.. hindi ung mga normal na test kasi useless un. Anitivirals continued until less than 1500 IU/ML na hbsag count. Usuallt take 3-5 years. May mga swerte na nacclear sa continuous antiviral treatment. Still take vitd3 to help immune system

suggestion., Peginteferon treatment to fasten clearance. Pero marami kasi side effect to so you can decide na magantiviral ng derecho depende kng bumababa hbsag count mo. Pero kng dna napapababa hbsag count mo mas ok na magpegniterferon na pra maclear. Again takingt vitd3 is important.


Sa lahat ng condition na to mainam dn magpatest ng ibang liver blood test such as cirrhosis markers, vitd25OH, creatinine atbp dahil may ibang tao na dahil sa gamot nagkakaron ng side effect, kaya mainaman pdin nagpapacheckup sa doktor..

Hello sa inyong lahat.. akala ko ako lang ang nagkaganito. Diagnosed din ako ng HBV reactive nung 2nd yr. college pa ako sa nursing yr 2008 but sadly until now Reactive parin ako.. Nagwork na ako as a Nurse dito sa Province namin, no body knows na reactive ako sa Hepa, pero tinatago ko lang talaga ito dahil matakot sa discrimination at pagdirian, even my Ex and present girlfriend doesn't know about my condition, pero mga Nurses din sila at vaccinated din sila ng Hepa, Im just Glad na supportive ang  mother ko. I consulted back my Doctor and having my treatment now. kakastart ko lang inum ng gamot. hopefully by God's grace mawawala na itong Hep B virus na ito sa katawan ko kahit na sabi ng Doctor na less chances na mawla ang virus kc miniminize lang ng gamot ang virus but not totally will cure the disease. walang imposible basta magtiwala lang sa Kanya, God is great all the time.. tnx for this blog at kahit papano meron tayong mapaglabasan ng dinaramdam natin.. I was really sad for having this disease coz i know the same with you people, we never wish to have it. masakit talaga sa damdamin, sometimes we could ask bakit ako pa? kasi marami akong pangarap para sa pamilya ko para makatulong sana.. pero mahirap sa condition na ito. kasi alanganin tayong mag apply ng trabaho.. kasi almost of the agencies na aaplyan natin ay may health status requirements.. eh the worst ito pang sakit na nakakahawa, at sa may walang knowledge about sa ating condition even to those other nurses na wala nito ay kung maka react sila ay kung puede pa hindi na lalapt sa iyo dahil matakot na mahawaan sila.. I was rotated to operating room as OR Nurse kaya sobrang ingat ako sa pag handle sa pt. specially dierect contact with blood and  secretions. pero ngayon tumigil na ako sa work ko Im planning to take NCLEX, meron akong nabasa dito hindi daw strikto sa US at Europe, hopefully totoo yun at sana by God's will makakapunta din ako ng US. God speed every one.  Entecavir (baraclude) 500mcg nga pala ang gamot na tinitake ko, to those who want to take antiviral drug, please consult first your doctor kasi puede rin sirain ng gamot ang katawan mo if nag take ka yet hindi naman kailangan, just follow your Physician's advised.

katulad nyo isa din ako sa may hepab late ko na syang nalaman na mayroon akong ganun.excited nakong tumungtong sa college simula nung bata pako pangarap ko ng maging chef someday,at dahil HRM ang pinili kong course syempre dumaan pa kame sa pagkuha nila samen ng dugo sobrang excited nakong makita yung result pero bigla nalang akong nalungkot nung nlaman kong may hepa b ako nasira na yung pangarap ko diko alam kong anu na kukunin kong course.. binigyan nila ako ng choice kung anu kukunin ko kong BA or IT .. so i prefer IT kahit wala talga akong alam ayoko kasi ng BA .. kahit mahirap yung course ko pinipilit kopa rin na hindi ako babagsak .. then after two years nalaman namen na may sakit papa ko sa puso,tapos yung mama ko sa lungs,tapos yung kapatid ko biglang nagka psoriasis e alam naman naten na curable yun sobrang nasasaktan ako sa nagyayare samen.. minsan tinatanong ko nlang ke God bat lahat kame may saket? sobrang lungkot at nasasaktan ako tuwingnakikta ko yung family kong nasasaktan at nahihirapan pero kahit ganun di parin kame bumibitaw kay God were praying na sana gumaling kame i know that may purspose si God kung bat may sakit kameng lahat chinachallenge lang siguro kame..sinusubukan nya siguro kame kung gano kame katatag... how i wish that soon mabibigla nalang kame na okay na kame ayoko kasi masira mga pangarap ko lalo na mga panagrap ko sa family ko .....

Hi HepB reactive dn po ako.. dating Nursing Student po kaso ndi n po ako pinayagan mgpatuloy khit mababa un viral load ko khit un HBV DNA.. kya ng aral ako ng ibang allied health s pg asa na hindi masasayang pangarap ko.. nkagraduate po ako kaso reject po ako s medical exam.. discramation talaga ng sariling bansa ay malapit.. kahit pa my Guide lines un DOLE wala nmn talagang natulog andun prin.. khit ndi naman ako hhawak ng needle.. tagal n dn ako nghahanap ng work pero wala prin.. nawawalan n dn ako ng pag.asa at lalo n nkakalungkot n hindi ka makatulong s family mo.. at natatakot n mkahawa s mahal mo lalo na s gf mo.. nakakdepress lang n hindi tau tanggap khit hindi naman natin kagustuhan.. parang nakakawalang gana mabuhay.. sana makapagtrabaho ako.. salamat s community n to kahit papanu nbigyan ako ng pag.asa..

Hi bepa b reactive din po ko. College ko nong nalaman ko. Last blood test ko 2008 pa ngaun lang ulit ko magpapa blood test. Gusto ko po kc mag abroad kaya gusto ko malaman ung viral load. San po magandang hospi sa manila peedeng magpaconsult. Tnx Po ng marami. God bless us all
