those tests are not quantitative, they dont reflect real antigens and antibodies quantity but only reagents to be positive or neg
there are also quantitative tests in updated labs but only hbsag can be useful, it reflects the number of infected cells and if decreasing to less than 1000-1500 iu/ml immune clearance.hbeag and hbeab, hbcab are almost useless even quantitative
tnx for ur prompt reply and added knowledge.
however, is it good knowing these results have decreased in numbers from the previous years? even if these tests is deemed useless?
what will be the effect of these in my overall health? is this still curable? do i need to eat special diet so as to cleanse my system of this virus?
tnx once again...
all other antigens and antibodies have no effect on hbv, only hbsag quantity reflects infected cels and immune system strength and the only antibody that blocks hbv is hbsab
of course hbe positive is more severe then negative because hbeag is thought to be immune suppressor more than hbsag
I'm trying to understand this format that people present. For example, I see positive nonzero numbers in the antibody columns. Are these people actually producing antibodies, just not enough? So wouldn't a booster help?
all these tests are useless to see liver damage or if hbv is active/inactive
tests to monitor disease are: hbvdna pcr, alt/ast, fibroscan or biopsy
ultrasound is needed to check for liver cancer only and it must be done every 6 months
