Fibroscan in January 2012 shows healthy liver
I was at the doctor in February after the second test he said that with my level of HBV-DNA and with no liver damage I do not need any treatment. All I need is to check ALT/AST, HbsAg, HBVDNA once a three month and fibroscan twice a year. So my questions are:
1) Is it not really possible to clear off the invection, I noticed that HBV-DNA fell quite sharp, maybe it is a good time to take some medicine?
2) I am worried about high levels of cholesterol. Is it because of the infection? I am on a healthy diet with low cholesterol (fruits, vegs, fish, meat once a week, no sugar), I am athletic, swim 3 times a week quite intensively, very moderate alcohol, no smoking. According to my life style the cholesterol must be much lower! I am worried that with such cholesterol level I will develop atherosclerosis very soon, my father just had a stroke being a pretty healthy person for his age (no HBV). Do I need to take any drugs to decrease the cholesterol levels?
