Ok so I drinked lot of water during the past 2 weeks I repeated my tests and below is my results:
Serum Creatinine 0.98 so it is back to normal (reference range .6 to 1.3)
Urea Nitrogen 7 which is low It was 12 2 weeks ago (reference range 8 to 20)
My GFR of course went back to normal since my Creatinine Is ok. Any comments on the results
No exercise but i've been travelling alot. 2 months before my level was 1.03 so it is a big jump in 2 months
28ng/ml is still deficient so not that, optimal range for immune system starts from 60-80ng/ml
did you have a lot of exercise days before test?
Well to be honest i don't see black seed did any good to hbv dna as my level remained the same fluctuating. My vitamin d improved a bit in the last 2 months since summer started so it was 21 now it is 28.
I will have an hbsag quantitative test in august so i will see if black seed did any help. I've been on black seed for at least 1 year daily.
Also will continue on black seed until october since i will have ultrasound and fibroscan
can we make a connection, although weak with your vitd25oh/pth levels or with your black seed supplementation?
The doctor asked me to repeat my creatinine in 2 weeks we will see how it goes. The good news hbv dna is down from 26000 to 3450
having kidney damage myself not knowing why here is the test that should be done
24 hr urine test - gold standard
early morning microablumin
randon microalbumin
blood creatinine
check all 3 then go with results. as far as hbv damaging kidneys i believe it. in 2013 my creatinine was 1.5 and hbv must of damaged or became active or maybe related to high blood pressure. after started medication for hbp by creatining hovered around 1.4 , 1.3. I started anitvirals 10 months ago my blood creatining is down to 1.18. i am starting to believe my kidney damage might of been from hbv. not sure just my experience with my own body.
and creatinine is very poor test for kidneys function, for example body builders can have high creatinine but everything is fine...it is too dependent on muscles and many with kidneys damage never get it abnormal
much better all the other tests
by the way hbv damages kidneys too, it can infect kidneys but not replicate there.
kidneys function improve on antivirals when hbv made the damage
all i can remember is that first time my egfr came back 92 , second time when i drank significantly more water it came back 110, so dehydration is very important here
I spoke to my doctor and she thinks the rise becuase i was dehydrated is this true? I do all my tests of fasting like 8 am in the morning. She told me to drink lot of water and retest in 2 weeks. Anyone can explain the sudden rise like .4 in 2 months??
Here the history of my creatinine lab reference range 0.6 to 1.3
Sept 17/2014. 0.98
March 9/2015. 0.93
June 6/2015. 1.04
Sept 25/2015. 0.99
March 12/2016 1.03
May. 7/2016. 1.42
My Urea nitrogen is 12
And my blood glucose is 87
And yes i did all my testing when i was fasting
Well i've been doing all the tests every 3 months and thisnis the first time creatinine went above normal range. My egfr was always above 60 and creatinine 2 months ago was 1.0 then 6 months ago .99 and then 1.02
So basically never been abnormal except today's test
p.s. you can go for 24 hour urine collection "microalbumin" test instead of early morning one, as you will need 24 hour urine collection anyways for your "creatinine clearance" test.
Check with the lab where you will be drawing blood and giving urine what would be the most convenient way to combine all of the 4 above mentioned tests, as microalbumin and creatinine clearance require urine collection (creatinine clearance also requires blood collection as well, but you'll give your blood anyways for creatinine, cystatin C and optionally fasting glucose).
Did anything unusual happen between your previous egfr and current egfr test? Did you (start) taking any medications?
Your egfr was calculated based on your creatinine which is at the moment very high.
What was your egfr previously and when was that previous measurement done?
At the time when you will be drawing blood for the repeat test in 2 weeks do also the following tests regarding kidney assessment:
- cystatin C
- creatinine clearance
- microalbumin (urine test), either 24hour one or early morning sample
- fasting blood glucose (need to abstain from food 10-12 hours before the test)
How is your DNA...I assumed it also dropped as your ALT dropped?
