Present situation

56 years old. Diagnostisc in 1992 of HBV infection, treatment with Interferon for two years (5 Million units/three times a week) plus 3 months Lamivudine for an initial HBV infection (Ag Hbs positive; Ag Hbe positive; DNA positive). All biochemical hepatic tests normal for years, but Ag HBs has remained positive until last month.
Present situation: Ag HBs negative, Ag HBe negative, Antibody anti HBe positive, biochemical tests normal.
Is this normal? Am I at risk? I feel quite well and with no symptoms of disease since more than 13 years.
Thank you.
Best regards
JAH

If your HBsAb is positive, you have cleared the virus.

Most chronics are symptom free and feel healthy for decades (some life=long).

HBsAg negative is excellent.
