my bf told me that he got hep b from his first wife 10 years ago. he said his body is immune to it now and he's clean - and has been tested every few years since then.

we use condoms but i performed oral sex on him without a condom before i knew this and now im freaking out. i want to  get tested but im wondering  what the chances are of

a) him really being fully clean
b) me being infected from giving him oral 10 yrs later (i dont swallow...sorry if that's graphic!)

if they keep testing he is not immune but probably the virus is not making damage.once you are immune there is no need to test again ever

the risk is very low but this depends on hbvdna quantity, if quantity is low or undetactable no risk but if it is detactable there might be risk.just check hbsag and hbsab in any case don t worry too much as an adult 95-98% clear without damage, cronic hbv is from mother to child or very young infections, it is extremely rare to become cronic from infection when adult
