Are they going to continue the interrupted trials with birinapant, or is this a completely new trial? Btw, have they given detailed account about the adverse side effects on the patients who were on trial last year?

TetraLogic was going to start another trial with people on nucs this year, but it was not specified when.

Yes, birinapant was, indeed, very promising from the pre-clinical studies conducted on mice. The very short time of treatment, coupled with eradication of hbv-infected hepatocytes, and development of anti-Hbs was just a miraculous cure for us. Unfortunately, the trials in humans didn't last long because of the serious sides. Again let's hope the scientists sort out the issues that led to those serious sdies and resume the trials.
